Staffing Update

With Christopher Okeaz Ikeakhe departure in March, school leadership took the opportunity to see how we could re-structure the work of the Admin team. Next year, we will not replace the Toddler/Casa Coordinator role, but rather Kristen, Tina and our CCEYA Site Supervisors will take on this additional work. To manage the increased responsibilities, Kristen and Tina will need further support in their roles.

We are excited to announce that Sara Heald will take on the role of Executive Assistant in October once Rachel has returned from her maternity leave. Sara will not only provide administrative support to both Tina and Kristen but she will also continue the work she has taken on with supporting Admissions and Development, as well as some of our Human Resource processes.

All money that we raise will support the LUSO Community Services. LUSO helps families in need here in London, Ontario. A group of us will go to buy some food and supplies for families in need, which we will deliver to LUSO. Thank you! – By Claire A.

JH Trip to Water Treatment Plant

Junior High students took a trip to the Waste Water Management facility on Adelaide Street last week to connect to our Water Study unit in science class.  The students learned a ton about how our waste water in London is treated and where all of our “stuff” goes when we flush the toilet and use our sinks and showers.  Everyone left the tour extremely grateful to have clean water and with a lot of respect for the people that work very hard to make sure we are kept safe.  Without facilities like these we would have no clean drinking water and no clean beach to swim in!
