The school seeks three new members to join the Board to Governors to replace departing members next year.  Our bylaws require that two of these three vacancies are filled with volunteers from the community at large. However, there will be a vacancy for a parent volunteer member next year, so I am writing to let you know of about process and to invite interested parents to contact the Board via email about this opportunity: maboard@montessori.on.ca. Profile Board – Key experience we’re looking for

In order to best serve its mandate of oversight of the school, the Board membership looks to maintain a diverse array of experiences and skill sets. We utilize a sophisticated matrix tool that depicts our existing capabilities and areas. We use the tool to guide us in our succession planning to indicate where we will need to strengthen the Board’s capabilities. Presently, the Board wishes to enhance our experience in Human Resource management, legal practice and fundraising; previous board experience is also valued. Therefore, preference will be given to volunteers who possess these areas of expertise along with board experience.
