MA named Innovation 800 ‘world-class educator’

February 26, 2018 – Montessori Academy of London has been named an elementary ‘Pioneer’ and ‘World-class Educator’ in the University of Cambridge Cambridge Strategies: Innovation 800 campaign celebrating 21st Century education and highlighting the most innovative education institutions in the world. The school’s elementary program was noted for its commitment to offering education for real life and to showing children how to contribute as responsible citizens.

“We are honoured to be included in this group of educational leaders,” said Tina Sartori, Executive Director of the school. “When we were approached to be included in the Cambridge Strategies: Innovation 800, they said Montessori Academy of London was selected because our name had risen to the top of the researchers’ lists as they looked into innovative elementary programming around the world.”

Adds Margaret Whitley, a long-time Montessorian and education consultant: “The school’s inclusion in Innovation 800 project is further proof that world-class education resides right here in London, Ontario. Montessori education is 100 years old but considered by many to be lead-edge because it supports creativity and resilience in children — the skills they need to thrive in the 21st Century.”
