Moving Up Parent Information Sessions: RSVP by Friday

Families with a student moving up to a new level in September 2024 are invited to attend our Parent Information Sessions taking place in January. Information about these sessions were sent via email and RSVP’s are due this Friday, December 15.  If you don’t recall receiving this information to your inbox, please check your spam folder or contact Victoria at vlittle@montessori.on.ca for details.


Reminder: Monthly Extended Hours

Families who want care for the month of January must register by December 15. We cannot guarantee the availability of space if registration is not received by then. Please register through the following link: https://montessoriacademy.campbrainregistration.com/.

CHF PJ Day grand total!

The final result is in! As a school, we raised $1,953.05. The money was sorted and rolled, added up and was delivered to the Children’s Health Foundation on Friday afternoon. Our school is extremely lucky to have this relationship with the Children’s Hospital allowing us to help those in need. We are all very grateful for everyone that contributed to this cause!

Purchase goodies to support our Micro-Economy at the Winter Concert

Greetings families and friends! As you may know, we are having our Winter Concert next week on December 19th! As a part of the Micro-Economy program at Junior High, the students will be selling hot chocolate mix, cookie mix, and festive signs. We would really appreciate it if you could bring some cash to buy some of these items. We only accept cash. Thank you!


Vision, Mission & Values Update: Parent input in January

We’ve teamed up with Platinum Leadership to refresh our school’s Vision, Mission and Values. As part of this process, we’re engaging parents, staff, students and community members through online surveys and focus groups.


If you are interested in joining our parent focus group(s) in late January, please complete this Google Form by January 12. Please note: We are seeking a cross-section of parent input – locations, grades/levels. Parents we can accommodate in the focus group will be contacted directly with details.


Save the Date: Family Skating Night is Feb. 1

Our Family Skating Night at Storybook is back! Mark Thursday, Feb. 1 from 6:30-8:30pm on your calendar and get ready for an evening of fun on Storybook’s beautiful Skating Trail. We’ll share more details and a registration form in the New Year.

Parents in Riverbend, Warbler Woods, Westmount and Bournewood Estates: Please complete this Google Form this weekBus Feasibility Study – West End Google Form. This is the only area of the city that we are going to focus on for this study.

Toddler holiday sing-a-long

As the classrooms start to celebrate holiday traditions around the world, our Toddlers hosted their parents for a sing-a-long. A jolly time was had by all!

Toddler Hanukkah celebration

The Toddlers had a circle yesterday to celebrate Hanukkah and enjoyed latkes and applesauce for snack. Happy Hanukkah!


Casa 3 Hanukkah story!

One of our students read a Hanukkah story to the students in Casa 3 today! Well done!

UE science!

In Year 5 chemistry, the students are exploring atoms and molecules (top), while in Year 4, the students are studying the Rock Cycle.


New intramural game – “PINS”

Some of our Upper Elementary students had a chance to participate in brand new intramural game called “pins”! One of the two teams won their tournament, and brought home three new gator balls for our Physical Education program! 📣 Way to go Trailblazers !!
