Montessori Buzz – Dec. 20, 2022

Dear MA Families & Friends,

PD Day and Winter Break

The school is closed from Dec. 26-Jan. 6. First day back is Monday, Jan. 9. We wish all of our families a happy, healthy holiday season, and a fun Winter Break!

Toddler snack … and spooning activity

Anyone want some pomegranate seeds? Our Toddler friends enjoyed this delicious snack last week! Oh, and they are loving the process of spooning out the seeds!

Holiday baking in our Toddler classrooms

The Toddler 2 class had so much fun using the big kitchen aid mixer Monday! We made chocolate chip shortbread wedges and mini cupcakes for our family social on Tuesday. We were fascinated by the mixer!

In Toddler 1, we made sugar cookies! We had such a fun morning measuring ingredients, whisking, listening to the beater, rolling out the dough and choosing a cookie cutter. The best part was decorating our cookies and eating icing!

Kwanzaa celebration in Casa 3

Casa 3 invited Sabena and Auldrin to our class to teach us all about Kwanzaa. Thank you so much for visiting us!

MMUN visitor – Alumna Maya Kelly

MA Alumna Maya Kelly is home from New York and stopped in at JH to speak to our MMUN delegates. Maya participated in MMUN when she was in the 6th grade…she now works there! We are so grateful that Maya would come and speak to our students. Such an inspiration!
