Winter Fun Fair
What a blast! Thank you to the volunteers and staff who helped make our Winter Family Fun Fest a huge success!
Junior High helpers!
Casa 1 is grateful for our Junior High Helpers who volunteered their time in our classroom this week. Our Casa 1 students enjoyed working with these “big kids” and reminding them about the ins and outs of Casa. It is also such a privilege to watch the Junior Highs (once Casa students themselves) become leaders; helping prepare our classroom, supporting children with their work and becoming someone our Casa 1 children can look up to. Thank you, Junior High!
Waterloo Casa apple slicing
Food prep is a big part of Casa. This student has chosen apple cutting. This exercise will help her develop her level of concentration as she remembers and follows through with the multiple steps that include washing the apple, slicing it, cutting out any core, passing apple slices to her friends, then washing up afterwards. Not only is this exercise “fun” to do, it helps develop fine motor control, independence and grace and courtesy.
UE Science – Owl pellets
To wrap up our Ecology unit, the Year Five students had fun dissecting owl pellets and discovering what was inside!
MMUN
Congratulations to our Montessori Model United Nations delegates on a successful trip to New York City. What a wonderful opportunity for our students! Bravo.
