PD Day on Friday

Friendly reminder that there is no school for our students on Friday.


2022-2023 Re-Enrolment due this Friday

Re-enrolment for the 2022-2023 School Year is due by this Friday, February 11.  The online re-enrolment forms must be completed through the MA Parent Portal, and post-dated cheques for the balance of tuition submitted to the Main Office. If you have any questions about your child’s enrolment or tuition, please contact Victoria at 519-433-9121 x 211 or vlittle@montessori.on.ca.

Family Skating Night is Thursday!

Our Family Skating Night is this week. Because of the capacity limits required for this event, if you are not able to make it Thursday night, please let us know by emailing Jennifer at jrayman@montessori.on.ca.
  • 5:30 pm session for Toddler/Casa/LE – This time slot is at capacity per Storybook’s COVID policies.
  • 7 pm session for UE/JH – still a few spaces available; please complete this only form by Wednesday if you wish to attend. Please contact Jennifer.
Family Skating details, including Storybook Skate Trail’s rules and COVID precautions, will be emailed to registered families this week. Please be sure to read through them.

Call for high-school volunteers!

We are looking for volunteers to help run the games at Snow Much Fun on Sunday, February 27. Volunteer shifts are 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and/or 12:30 to 2:30 pm. This is a great opportunity for high-school students to get volunteer hours. If you have alumni or teen-aged children who would like to volunteer for this fun event, please encourage them contact Tonya at tdendrinos@montessori.on.ca

Toddler polar lessons

Our Toddler students are Building Inuksuks and learning about cold land animals!

Lunar New Year in Casa

Waterloo Casa and Casa 2 were among the classrooms celebrating Lunar New Year last week! Welcome to the year of the Water Tiger.

Casa 1’s Polar regions study

This month children in Casa 1 are studying Polar Regions! They took part in a Science experiment – using a “blubber glove” (Ziploc bags filled with shortening); they placed their little hand in icy, cold water to feel what the Arctic temperatures would feel like to the Polar Bear and Whale. Look at their inquisitive expressions!


Lower El 3’s Olympic fever!

Showing their colours on Friday, these LE3 girls were ready to cheer on Canada at the Olympics!

Upper Elementary 2 hosted their Renaissance Fair last week!

In Upper El 1’s Reflective Writing lesson, the students were asked to craft a recipe to show how you make and maintain good friendships.

PD Day Camp – The Academy Circus: Valentine’s themed camp!

Join us for a full day of fun!  Classes on aerial hammock, trapeze, aerial spider web, Weggsphere, aerial heart, acrobatics, games, crafts and more!
  • Location: 1490 Richmond Street
  • Date: Friday, February 11th, 2022
  • Time: 9:00am-3:30pm, early drop off and late pick up available
  • Cost: $70+HST ($10+HST for each early drop off or late pick up)
Please bring: School safe snacks and lunch + bottles of water.
Please wear: comfortable clothing, fitted tops that do not lift when going upside down, for girls, please keep hair in braids or tied in a low bun


Important: Covid requirements in place, students age 12+ must show proof of full vaccination.  All patrons entering and being in the building must wear a mask the whole time.  Frequent hand sanitization and social distancing are in effect.
