London Lightning game volunteers needed
Tickets sold out fast and we have nearly 50 choir students to sing the national anthem at the London Lightning game on Sunday, January 27! In order to help us raise more funds for Montessori Academy, we are also selling 50/50 tickets at the event.
We have some wonderful Junior High students and staff geared up to help sell, but we are looking for a few more volunteers to help! If you’d like to participate, please email Melissa at mparker@montessori.on.ca. (Volunteers don’t get to watch the game from the stands, but we do have a couple of “staff seats” that we can take turns with to watch a quarter!)
Reminder: Choir uniform
For all performances, including Sunday’s performance of ‘O Canada.’ Please have your children wear their choir shirt; and black pants (no jeans or yoga pants), socks and shoes.
Fans of Fundraising!
Do you have a business or connections to an organization that may be willing to donate to our silent auction or Big 10 Raffle? We are currently looking for gift certificates and prizes to further fill our packages for our Winter Silent auction, which will launch at the Boler Mountain tubing event next month, as well as our Big 10 Raffle in June.
Or do you work at an organization that would be interested in sponsoring the Spring Musical? We are looking for various levels of support for Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, taking place at the Wolf Performance Hall on May 14 and 15.
Please reach out to Melissa Parker or 519-433-9121 ext 223 or email mparker@montessori.on.ca with any recommendations.
Reminder: Valentine Craft Party – Toddlers at all locations welcome!

Junior hockey
Junior Hockey is for students in Upper Elementary and will begin in mid February. A note will be sent home outlining the details with all students interested in participating in this program.
Toddler tea time
When the weather outside is cold and the air inside is dry, nothing sounds better than a warm cup of tea. The toddlers at Westmount enjoy their tea every morning in the company of their friends while practicing their social skills as well as Grace and Courtesy, which are a big part of a traditional Montessori education. “May I have more tea, please?”
Shady business 🙂
Oxford just had some custom blinds installed on Friday during the PD Day! Pictured are two of the top-notch installers in our Casa 4 classroom.
