Montessori Buzz – Jan. restart update from Tina
Dear MA Families,
Late Monday afternoon we received direction from the Ministry of Education, both the Private School division as well as the Child Care division, which oversees programs licensed under the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), to understand when classes will resume at MA after the Winter Break.
Toddler and Casa students will return on January 4, and their program will run as usual, including Extended Hours. Our students in Years 1 to 8 will not be able to return to in-class learning, at this point, until January 11. We will launch our home-based learning program Monday, January 4, and we will spend the first week of the New Year online. Lunches missed this week, will be caught up on a future order.
On Wednesday, December 30, you will receive detailed information regarding your child’s online experience for the Elementary and Junior High programs. Kristen, Tameka and I will also be on-site during the week of January 4, if you need to contact the school.
Despite this news, we know 2021 will be brighter for our community and those who surround us. May peace, love and joy fill your homes in the coming days. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to MA in January!
