(Corrected) June Progress Reports available THURSDAY
For our Casa, Elementary and Junior High students, June Progress Reports will be available in the MA Parent Portal on Thursday at 3 pm. (This has been updated since we originally sent the Buzz with the wrong day noted).
How to access your child’s progress report:
- Login to the MA Parent Portal
- Select your child’s name in the top left corner.
- Under the Progress tab, click the Report Card link and select “June Progress Report”
Upcoming Messages this week
- Special emailed treat Wednesday: Watch your inboxes Wednesday around lunchtime for a very special music video featuring a talented group of Upper El and Junior High students. 🙂
- Board year-end message: An email from our Board President will arrive on Thursday.
- One last Buzz next Tuesday: You’ll receive one more Buzz message. If there are any other important, time-sensitive messages to share, we’ll send them out through this Buzz distribution list.
Wednesday: Elementary Lost & Found AND Used Book Sale
We’ll have the Elementary Lost & Found items spread out in the Courtyard on Wednesday. AND while you’re there, take a peek through some used books! Starting at 3:30 p.m.
Used Book Sale
Send your child to school with some loonies, or bring a pocket of change when you pick up your child at dismissal. We have a great selection of books for adults, young adults and children. Come one, come all! All proceeds from the Used Book Sale will benefit the school Library.
Gym Wear Reminder
For students in Elementary and Junior High, please complete the Gym Wear form: Montessori Academy Gym Wear Flyer JUNE 2021.pdf and return to Tameka at tbrown@montessori.on.ca on or before this Friday, June 24. Reminder: we now accept cash, cheque, Debit, MasterCard, Visa, Amex or Apple Pay.
If you need to see samples of the clothing, please come to the main office before Friday. If your child does not need any gym wear, please let Tameka know this as well.
Matching Gift Campaign ends this Friday!
There is still $4,000 in unmatched funds available. Double your impact by making a donation before this Friday, June 24th and your gift will be matched by the Board of Governors!

Our fiscal year ends June 30. If you would like to make a contribution for this school year, please do so before June 30! Donate online https://montessori.on.ca/get-involved/ways-to-give/ and select the fund you would like to support from the drop down menu on the online form, or send a cheque to the Administrative Office at 719 Waterloo and note your preferred fund on the cheque.

Waterloo Casa trip to Engine 4
With a couple of our Junior High buddies, Waterloo Casa took a stroll down to Fire House #4 last week for a thrilling visit with the firefighters. What a blast!
Soccer
MA played 6 games at the North London Athletic fields last Tuesday, and the first four were tough games. We then played in the division semi-finals and won, taking us to the final. Unfortunately, we lost a tough game in the final 1-0. Thanks to all who came out to play, it was a great day to be outside and play soccer!!
UE 2 Phasing In
On Friday, during Phasing In, UE2 painted friendship rocks and wrote a virtue on it. At the end of the day the rocks went into the bucket and they chose one to take home.
Junior High Parent Visits!
It’s been a while, hasn’t it? The Junior High students were pumped to welcome their parents into the Junior High learning environments last Wednesday.

The future Year 7’s joined their classmates in the Junior High building on Friday, and prepared lunch together among other activities.
Junior High… ‘Phasing Out’
On Friday, after a full morning of rehearsing their grad speeches, our soon-to-be graduates enjoyed some special moments together before graduation! They had lunch and bowled at Palasad Socialbowl!
