|Dear MA Families & Friends,
Staffing Update – September
In September, we have a number of MA staff who will be returning to the school after a year away. We will welcome back Tara Protopapas to Oxford Casa, Marty Kolls to our Music program, and Meghan O’Brien to our Upper Elementary program, who are all returning from maternity leaves. Adam Phares, who was teaching overseas this year, will also be returning to our Music program for the fall.
In addition, Amanda Querin will move over to our Waterloo location to be the site supervisor for our CCEYA licensed programs and Sarah Kneeshaw will take on this role at Oxford Central. Tara McFadden will also join the Waterloo location to support our Toddler team. Sarah DeCicco, who has been supporting both UE classrooms will move to the Library in September, and Amanda DelMonte will continue to be our Yard Supervisor.
We are grateful to Becky Thynne and Conlan Gassi for the incredible work they’ve done with our Elementary and Junior High music program. Our Spring Assembly and Kiwanis performances are excellent reminders of effort they have put into our unique music program over the past year!
Kiwanis – Silver wins for our choirs!
Congratulations to our choirs for their awesome outing at Kiwanis this year. They brought home silver! Bravo, everyone!
Thank you to the staff and students who put on such an entertaining Spring Assembly.

On our Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/MAofLondon
As well, we’re sharing this information through other websites for those who are not on social media. We’ll continue to add our events to community calendars, so if you spot them, share them!
Thanks very much for your continued support of our school and the celebration of this milestone!
FYI: French music concert for Elementary students
Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 2, the Year 3-6 students will attend a Gregg LeRock concert at Forest City Community Church. Buses will leave at 9:30 am, and we will be back at school at 11:45 am.
Thursday is Junior High’s Shakespeare night
A round of applause for our Fab Four!
If you’ve driven up Waterloo Street near the school since the weekend, you’ll know that several of the rentals had “garbage” left out streetside by the students who recently moved out. Unfortunately, an even bigger mess was made when it was picked over overnight and left in front of Piccadilly Park. Thankfully, Hudson M., Griffin, Sagar, and Liam G. joined teacher Lisa E. and some neighbours to help clean up the refuse that was left on Tuesday morning; they spent their time cleaning up instead of playing with their friends. Thank you for demonstrating your care for the environment in our neighbourhood and near our school!
Toddler student helping at home!
From Tina: At our recent Parenting Puzzle session we talked about the importance of letting children be a part of family routines, setting up physical spaces so they can participate and be independent where possible. This is a great example!
Waterloo Casa’s afternoon out
Spring has finally sprung, and we were so happy to take advantage of the warmer weather and take our gym class on the road last week. Piccadilly Park is always a favorite outing especially when we see a train…. Or a train vehicle that we’ve never seen before!!!
And then caught a tennis match – green versus blue!
