PHOTOS AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A reminder that there are no photos or cell phone use allowed during the performances. Please turn your cell phones and other electronic devices off, or switch to airplane mode as they can interfere with the performers microphones.
We are so fortunate that MS2 Productions has generously donated their crew to create a professional video of the musical that will be made available to everyone. Also, we have hired a professional photographer to grab cherished photos of the cast and crew which will also be shared in an upcoming Buzz.
Thank you to our Silver Sponsors!
Annie Jr. would not be possible without the support of our generous sponsors.
PD Day Friday and Holiday Monday
Friendly reminder that Friday is our last PD Day; the office will be open until 3pm. On Monday, the school will be closed for Victoria Day. Enjoy your four-day weekend!
Sports Update
Athletes: Please hand in your jerseys from basketball, volleyball and floor hockey.
Track and Field season…
With the good weather we have finally been able to get outside and practice some track and field events in gym class. All students from Years 1 – 8 have participated in high jump, dashes, shot put, soft ball throw, standing jump and distance running.
Athletes in Years 4-8 will have an opportunity to participate in a track and field meet on Monday, May 29, at Western. If your student has chosen to participate in this meet, they are aware of the event that they are participating in. The schedule for this track and field event can be found on the parent portal (link to PDF). More details will be shared in a letter coming home soon.
Potential LE Summer Sports Camp
We are looking for input from our Lower Elementary families to see if enough children would be interested in attending a summer sports camp this July run by Janet, our Elementary gym teacher.
However, we need 20 campers to be able to run the camp. LE parents who are interested in this camp are invited to complete this Google Form by Friday, May 26. If we receive enough interest, a Registration link will be shared with LE families. Thanks!
Family & Friends Event is June 8
Our Annual family end of year social is coming up on Thursday, June 8, 2022! Please plan to join us for this fun family event. Rides and games will be available for the kids; and food can be purchased at the park, or families can bring a picnic dinner to enjoy at the event.
RSVP by completing this short Google Form: https://forms.gle/zvXK6E8fpJYqNjmp9 by Monday, June 5, so that we can let Storybook know how many people to expect.
Photos from the week
Westmount Casa Super visitor!
Sending a super-sized thank you to Myles’ dad, Dr. Jeremy McCallum, and his sidekick Super Tooth! We learned so much about our teeth and how to take care of them! 😀 Before Super Tooth disappeared, he left us a little bag full of supplies to keep the sugar bugs away.
Elementary Courtyard planting
Thank you, Lower El 2 and Lisa E., for planting beautiful new annuals in the Elementary Courtyard Bird, Bee and Butterfly garden!
Getting into character
Violet had so much fun making her orphan costume for Annie! Way to go Violet!
Planting behind Upper El
Behind Upper Elementary, our students in UE1 helped out with spring planting last week.
JH Concession helpers
Thank you to our Junior High helpers who put together our fun, sweet treats for sale during the Annie Jr. performances.
