Dear MA Families & Friends,
Willy Wonka: Thank you to our sponsors!
With MA’s performance of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka set to open next week, we would like to take a moment to thank our Sponsors for our performances:
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to ensuring that our students receive the best Montessori education possible, and an extraordinary arts and specialties program that is unique to MA!
Haven’t gotten your tickets yet? You can purchase them online; by calling Wolf Performance Hall at 519.661.5120; or visiting the Box Office in Citi Plaza. Visit our school website to learn more about what to expect and read Willy’s Wramblings!

No photos, please
We ask families to refrain from taking photos and videos during the performance; we don’t wish to distract the MA-zing performers!! Instead we’ve hired a photographer and a videographer to capture this year’s musical performance!

Tag us in your photos….
If you capture any of the pre-musical buzz, you can share it online and tag the school with the hashtags: #mawillywonka #maofLondon The school is on Twitter and Facebook! (While the school isn’t on Instagram, we will check in with the tags on IG, too, if you tag and share your photos publicly.)

Mine 101 donation
The mine 101 committee would like to thank everyone that donated to our clothing drive. We have received a ton of clothing and we appreciate everyone who took the time to bring them in. We delivered the clothes to mine 101, and sales of these clothes are going to support the children’s program at Anova.

Toddler Teacher Party photos!
Toddler 2 hosted the Toddler Keepsake Gardening Party on Saturday. Antoinette and Amanda want to thank everyone for coming and enjoying painting ladybug pet rocks, planting sunflower seeds and eating lunch with us. We all had a great time!
Escape Room Teacher Party
The group of escape artists was able to solve the puzzles and riddles in an astonishing 41 minutes! Incredible! And thank goodness they were able to find Shawn before the time ran out so he can resume his regular duties at Jr. High!
Afterward, they all celebrated by making their own pizzas and washing them down with a delicious ice cream sundae. Thank you to the students and their parents for supporting the school in such a fun and meaningful way.
There are still some spaces in upcoming Teacher Parties. Contact the office if your child is interested in joining one! https://montessori.on.ca/teacher-parties-2018-2019/

Happy Mother’s Day!

… and a special Happy Mother’s Day to this mama robin spotted outside the Main Office…

According to JourneyNorth.org: “Until they’ve laid a full clutch, robins allow all the eggs to stay cool so the babies don’t start to develop. That’s pretty smart! It means all the babies hatch close to the same time. Mother robins may start incubating their eggs during the evening after the second egg is laid, or after all the eggs are laid. They sit on the eggs for 12 to 14 days. The female usually does all the incubating. Even in good weather, she rarely leaves her eggs for more than 5 to 10 minutes at a time.”
