Montessori Buzz – Nov. 29, 2022
Dear MA Families & Friends,
Financial Support applications open FridayApplications for Financial Support will open on Friday, December 2, through Apple Financial Services, and are due by Monday, January 9, 2023. NEW for 2023-2024: Families are eligible to apply to the program after completing only one year at Montessori Academy instead of two. All families currently enrolled in Toddler through Junior High are eligible to apply for support.
Full details on how to apply, along with a Financial Support FAQ can be found through the MA Parent Portal under the Resources section. Or, on our website: https://montessori.on.ca/admissions/financial-support/
Extended Hours – notice requiredThank you for being so diligent in giving us 24 hours’ notice if your child/ren will need early or extended hours. Please note this is also needed for school events, ie. if siblings need before- or after-school care while you attend an event for another child at the school. We have to make sure that we have staff to support the number of children using these programs at all levels, especially in Toddler and Casa.
One more week of Early Bird ticket sales! We have had a tremendous response to ticket sales. Over 140 tickets have gone already! Don’t miss out on Gala tickets or the early bird pricing.
The MA-Zing Circus will be a fantastic celebration of our 55th Anniversary, as well as our most important fundraising event of the year.

Our Musical for 2023 is…In case your children haven’t mentioned it, our Musical performance was announced last week. We’ll present ‘Annie’ at the Wolf Performance Hall during the week of May 15. More information on auditions and the performances to come!
PJ Day!
Thank you to all of our families who donated loose change on Friday for PJ Day. The children always have a blast wearing their cozy jammies, and this year we were able to welcome their beloved stuffies back into the classrooms. 🙂 We’ll share the fundraising tally after the JH CHF committee has finished counting all of the change. These generous donations will support Children’s Health Foundation and the creative art therapy in the Child & Adolescent Mental Health program.
Lower El gymnastics! On Wednesday, our students in Year 1-3 went to Forest City Gymnastics as part of their Physical Education program. They had a chance to work on the balance beams, the bars and everyone’s favourite jump into the foam pit and bounce on the trampoline. Everyone had a great time and tried something new.
