Montessori Buzz – Oct. 11, 2022
Dear MA Families & Friends,
Legacy gift
Each year, our Graduating Class leaves behind a gift – a donation – to use towards something for future Junior high students. Thanks to the Graduating Class of 2022 we were able to purchase these beautiful picnic tables for the Junior High building. Now students can enjoy outdoor work in the Woodland peace garden (The garden was a gift from the Class of 2021!).

FYI: MA Parent Portal Tutorials
Based on some parent feedback, we’ve developed a series of very short online tutorials that will guide you through some of the most important places on the MA Parent Portal. More tutorials can be found under Resources / Portal Tips.
- Update Your Profile:
The school will send important information and notices via email, text message/SMS and mail throughout the year. Please ensure your contact information on your Contact Card in the MA Parent Portal is correct, and update it when necessary.
- View the Student Directory:
Want to connect with a family outside school hours? Find phone and email information for your child’s friends in the directory.
- Use the Portal Calendar:
School-year events can be found online under the Calendar tab.
- Find your Child’s Classroom Page / Bulletin Board:
Each month your child’s teachers will share important classroom-specific information for the month ahead.
FYI: Forest City Little Music Makers
Did you know that our new Lower Elementary music teacher, Lisette, offers classes for parents and little ones too? Babies sessions are for Newborn to 9 months, and Mixed Ages is for birth to 5 years of age. Learn more on the Forest City Little Music Makers’ website: www.forestcitylittlemusicmakers.com.
