Dear MA Families & Friends,

Picture Day is tomorrow – Elementary & Junior High

Elementary and Junior High students will have their photos taken Wednesday. Toddler & Casa students will have their photos taken in October.

MA Outdoor Family Movie Night!

Back by popular demand! We will be hosting an outdoor family movie night for Casa through to Junior High in our Elementary courtyard on Thursday, October 6. This is the night before the P.D. Day since it may be a later night than usual! Families will need to dress for the weather, bring lawn chairs and blankets. There will be snacks and drinks available for purchase! You will be able to access the school for washrooms.
Capacity is limited, so you must register all those who are planning to attend. We look forward to seeing you under the stars!

Choirs start later this year, new time

Choirs start the week of September 26; Junior and Senior choirs will take place during lunch playtime.
  • Senior choir – Tuesdays 12:15-1:10pm
  • Junior choir – Thursdays 11:45-12:40pm
  • Year 1 choir – Wednesday at 8:45am
Watch for a letter with more details that will be sent home via Parent Reps.

Volunteers wanted: Gala planning committee

We are hosting a Family Gala on Saturday, February 25, 2023, to celebrate Montessori Academy of London’s 55th Anniversary! Library upgrades in Elementary

Have you seen our new seating, tables and shelves in the Library? These upgrades were made possible by all of our MA-zing families who contributed by donating or attending our fundraising events last year, as well as a grant from the J.P. Bickell Foundation. Thank you!!!


Toddler truck excitement

Part of Montessori is following the children… well, last week, a few of the Toddler children saw a big truck across the street from their classroom, so we followed them outside to see it a little closer!!!

Casa 1’s first day back

How quickly the children adjust and adapt to being back in the classroom! Calm and concentration in Casa was evident on the first day of school. This is Montessori.

FYI: Orange Shirt Day

September 30 is The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, or “Orange Shirt Day.” Check out to learn about the events happening in London in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
At school, the children and staff are encouraged to wear orange; classrooms will be commemorating the day with age-appropriate lessons and discussions.

Bug Day at Children’s Museum!

London Bug Day, on September 24, is a free event held at the London Children’s Museum designed to educate the public about insects, and other arthropods, and familiarize them with these important animals. The event will feature cockroach races, a live insect zoo, crafts, face painting, and a monarch release at the end of the day. (Plus, MA is a supporter!) Find more details online:
