Dear MA Families and Friends,
Recently a person unknown to the school left messages and reviews of the school on various social media platforms, claiming that some time over a decade ago his friend had a negative experience as a student here.
We have made numerous requests that the friend identify himself, specify the nature of his concerns, and meet with us so to discuss his recollection of events. However, to date neither the author or his friend have responded to our invitations.
We have been extremely distraught to think that any former student has memories of their time at our school which are upsetting to them, but have been at a loss as to how else to respond to vague allegations from an anonymous source.
We celebrate the whole child and respect each child as an individual. We have a set of values that include respect, independence, community and compassion; these values help guide our school community. The experiences this friend claims the former student had are not in keeping with those values or the Montessori philosophy.
We also value privacy, and will not engage in a discussion of a personal matter on social media, particularly not with a person claiming to speak on behalf of someone else.
We can assure everyone that the respect, care and safety of our students is always the highest priority for our faculty and staff.
