PJ Day raises $1200 for CHF
Montessori Academy raises more than $1,200 for Children’s Health Foundation!
Students, families and staff of Montessori Academy of London raised more than $1,200 for Children’s Health Foundation last week during their annual PJ Day charitable giving event.
Last Tuesday, several of the Junior High students visited CHF’s office to present the school community’s donation that will support the many child health programs provided at Children’s Hospital.
PJ Day is one of several charitable giving events held throughout the year at Montessori Academy. These events support local charities such as CHF, and reflect Montessori Academy’s commitment to “children helping children.”
For a donation of spare change, the students dressed in their favourite pyjamas on Friday, Nov. 25. Students in Years 7 and 8 collected and counted the donations, took them to the bank, and then presented the gift to CHF on Giving Tuesday. There will be charitable giving events to support CHF later in the school year. During 2015-2016, the school community raise more than $5,000 for CHF.
