Through our partnership with the iSEE Vision Screening Program, the Academy demonstrates a commitment to the health and wellbeing of children – and research and further education. Currently, there is no mandated routine eye examination for this age group (18 months-4 years old) to ensure that eye conditions are detected in a timely manner by professional eye care providers. About 25 Toddler and Casa children participated over the two days. They were very excited to have their ‘picture’ taken with this very cool-looking camera. If the screening detected a potential vision problem, the child’s family was provided information, and referred to an optometrist to confirm the screening findings and to provide further management, such as glasses.
