Montessori Buzz – Sept. 2, 2025

Welcome Back!

A welcome message from our principal

Dear MA Families,

I hope everyone had a relaxing, fun-filled summer with family and friends. It’s my pleasure to welcome both returning and new families to what I truly believe is the best place to be – our school!

We’re excited for the year ahead and all the wonderful activities and events we have planned, including our fall classroom events, Halloween Boo-ling, the Winter Concert in February, and the Art Expo in April, just to name a few. Be sure to stay informed by checking the Buzz, which is shared every Tuesday via the MA Parent App, for important reminders and updates on school happenings.

Your child’s teachers are your best point of contact for any information or concerns. They are deeply committed to your child’s success, and I know from years of experience that the strong relationships built between teachers, students, and parents last a lifetime.

A special thank you to our Parent Reps, who will be working closely with our teachers and admin team to support the school community. You’ll hear from them soon – they are key in keeping you informed and connected, so please watch for emails from your class rep.

I look forward to hearing all the wonderful stories from your child about their first day of school. As always, my door is open, and I’m eager to reconnect with familiar faces and meet our new families.

Warmest regards,

Kristen Crouse, Principal

Photos from the past few weeks

Summer Fundraiser

Proud MA mom Michelle shared some great photos of two fundraisers Evian and Zurich spearheaded: “This past summer my kids and a few of their friends in Montessori Junior High organized two Lemonade Stand Charity Events. They sold lemonade, Tanghulu (candied fruit skewers), gummies, slime,  jibbitz and bracelets. In total, they raised $445.50!!  A portion of the money raised was donated to The Canadian Cancer Society and also The Children’s Health Foundation.  It was awesome team work and a great event for a good cause!”

Say it with us now: M-A-ZING!

Casa Phasing In last week

Our newest Casa students spent time in their new classrooms last week. There were lots of smiles and a lot of concentration as they settled into their work! Be sure to start checking your classroom’s Galleries in the MA Parent App for photos of classroom activities.

Professional Development with our Faculty

We extend much gratitude to Emily Branje and Dan Steeves for sharing their excellent presentation about inclusion in the classroom.
