The coziest day of the year is coming up quickly! Friday, Nov. 21, is PJ Day. Our students can dress in their PJs, and bring in loose change in support of our good friends at ChildCan.
RSVP: Guest speaker on Thursday, Nov. 27
Join us for this valuable lunch and learn session with Hillary Hartwig from Innerworks Counselling. This session is going to be invaluable to parents in all levels of the school. Together we’ll explore the cycle of anxiety and how parental responses can shape it, while learning practical strategies to reduce accommodation through effective communication and coping tools.

Nov. 14 PD Day: Camps and care options
Our next Professional Development Day is coming up on Friday, Nov. 14. It aligns with the TVDSB calendar, so there should be a variety of camps and program available for families.
Here are a few care options:
- We have a list of JH babysitters who are available on PD Days to care for your children at home. Email Tameka in the Main Office to request the list: tbrown@montessori.on.ca

Help shape the future of our school! Our board is currently seeking new members from within our Montessori Academy community who have specific skills and board experience:
- Strategic Fund Development/Fundraising, Facilities Management, or Finance expertise
- Previous board leadership experience and familiarity with non-profit governance
- Experience with Montessori or alternative education programs

1000 Acts of Kindness
Westmount Toddler donations and tree: Our tree of kindness is full of kind deeds, and our donation box is overflowing for the Humane Society! We’ll share more updates from the other classes next week in the Buzz.
Halloween around the school!

Toddlers caring for their furry friends
The joy felt by a toddler feeding crushed Cheerios to our squirrel friends — a perfect moment of independence, care, and connection with nature.
Casa parent-child class visits are happening this week
We did it! Milestone Achieved! We hosted our first Parent-Child class visit of the school year at Westmount Casa. This is one of those memorable, yearly events that our returning students check the classroom calendar for. Within the first week of September, we often hear the question, “When will my parents get to come in and see me work?” These are the moments that fill our buckets as Montessori teachers!
