We’re Blazing the Trail! : Gym Campaign Launch
Our Blaze the Trail campaign is officially underway! We’re on a mission to raise $60,000 by June 30, 2026 to transform our beloved gym at Colborne Street United Church into a safer, brighter space for every Trailblazer. A letter was sent home on Friday; view the Annual Appeal 2025 letter here.
This space has been home to Montessori students for over 30 years — but after 70 years of use, the floor urgently needs replacing. Every gift makes a difference:
- $50 = 2 sq. ft. of new flooring
- $150 = 1 ft. of wall padding
- $250 = both flooring and wall padding
Join Tina in the Executive Director’s Challenge! She’s pledged $1,000 toward the gym upgrade — and invites you to join her in making this vision a reality.
Donate or pledge today at Montessori.on.ca/blaze-the-trail and help us create a vibrant space for generations of Trailblazers.
Please share our campaign posts on social media to spread the word! Together, we’ll make this dream happen.
Winter Concert is February 5
Last week, we provided an update about the next concert/assembly. The Winter Concert will be in February, and will feature performances by students in Casa through Junior High; and then we’ll host an Elementary and Junior High Year-End Concert on June 10. There is no performance in December.
Phys Ed updates
Senior Hockey kicked of this week with a Monday morning game. The team played well – for their first match of the season. Junior Hockey will start up after the Winter Break. Stay tuned!

FYI: No after-school extended hours on Dec. 18
On Thursday, Dec. 18, there will be no after-school Extended Hours programming at any of our locations so that our faculty and staff can attend their holiday social.
Photos from the Week
Toddler helping a friend
A little hand helping another is the beginning of community. It’s so sweet to watch the children model adult behaviour in their care for their friends.

PJ Day collage
Thank you to all of the families who sent loose change in on Friday to support our good friends at ChildCan. It’s definitely a favourite day at school.

LE2 concentration and work
“The first essential for the child’s development is concentration. It lays the foundation for his character and social behaviour.” ~ Dr. Maria Montessori

UE Guest Speakers
Last Monday, Leroy Hibbert from LUSO joined the UE students to talk about anti-racism. And then on Thursday, Brody from London Hydro, joined the students to talk about electrical safety. We are always so grateful when members of the community join us to share their knowledge and expertise with our students!

Food prep in JH
It was an early morning prepping food for Pizza Bagel Day in Junior High.
