Montessori Buzz – Sept. 9, 2025
Dear MA Families & Friends,
Reminders
Pick-up/Drop-off & Parking procedures
A friendly reminder: Please familiarize yourself with our parking procedures for your location, and adhere to all “No Parking” signs.
At our downtown locations, please do not block our neighbours’ driveways; there is no parking or turning around in neighbours’ or school driveways along Piccadilly. This is unsafe for the children and an inconvenience for our neighbours.
Parking procedures are now available in the MA Parent App under Notices for quick reference. Please share these notes with any family members and friends who will be responsible for driving your child(ren) to and from school this year.
We are grateful for your cooperation in ensuring a smooth, safe start and end to the school day!
Recording Absences in the app
Our list of reasons when recording Absences in the MA Parent App was updated recently. If your child is staying home sick, please record it as ‘Illness’ so that the teachers can track when your child is able to return to school; this is particularly important at the Toddler and Casa levels.
A list of Communicable Illnesses and guidelines is found under the second Yellow Tab in the printed Year at a Glance that you received last week.

Toddler and Casa parents: optional 5-minute survey
On behalf of Newborn Screening Ontario, The Evidence Network Inc. is seeking input from parents with children born in 2019-2025.
Did your child have the heel-prick test at birth? That’s newborn screening – a quick check for rare but treatable diseases.
Newborn Screening Ontario is asking parents of children under the age of 5 to share their experiences with the screening process in a short 5-minute survey. Take the survey here: https://online2.snapsurveys.com/ParentSurvey_PublicLink
