Our Terry Fox Run 2025 is Monday!
Montessori Academy is hosting a Terry Fox Run on Monday! This Run is for our entire Elementary community. Elementary students will run/walk with their class at a predetermined time at Piccadilly Park. Casa will host their own events at their locations.
Parents, please come and join us, and help carry the legacy of Terry Fox into the future. Donations of loose change are appreciated and will support the Terry Fox Foundation.

- UE 1-10-10:45am
- Junior High-10:45-11:30 am
Lunch and shortened play time
- LE1- 1-1:45pm
- LE 3-1:45-2:30 pm

1 lap of Piccadilly Park is 400m. Our goal is to run 500 km as a school community.
Phys Ed updates
- RMC – Junior High Cross Country Meet is on Wednesday, October 1 – 9am-noon
- Springbank Run – for students in Years 4-8 is Wednesday, October 8 – 9:15am-1pm. Details will be sent home closer to the date.
- Senior volleyball will begin October 7 and 8 for Junior High. Please check the Junior High website for more details.
Guest Speaker on Oct. 9 – RSVP/Lunch form due Sept. 25

MA in the community
MA was proud to support ReForest London’s Celebration Forest this year. Some of our families took part in the planting ceremony held this past Saturday. What a beautiful way to honour our loved ones and celebrate family milestones. MA mom Samira said: “It was a lovely day. The boys were very excited to see their school represented.”

Beautiful Montessori material in Casa
Though it was only the second week of school, some exciting sensorial work was being done in Casa last week! The children love diving into their work. Who can blame them – look at this beautiful, engaging Montessori material.
In preparation for our Terry Fox Run…
Last Friday, one of the workshops Junior High participated in was about Terry Fox. Student take away: We are going to experience hard things in our community, but together through compassion and perseverance we can/will overcome them and grow stronger.
