Upcoming events
It’s the time of year when we have a lot of activity happening around the school. Here are a few of the school-wide events. Check your monthly newsletters in the MA Parent App for classroom-specific information and updates.
- Cancelled – The Artisan Market that was scheduled for this Friday, May 22, is not happening this year. We thank all of our families and vendors for your support in the past.
- Grandparents’ & Special Friends’ Day is Friday, May 29. We can’t wait to see all our very special visitors.
- Family & Friends Celebration at Storybook – Thursday, June 4, from 4-7 p.m. (Rain date is Tuesday, June 9.) More details coming soon!
Elementary & JH Year-end Concert is Wednesday, June 10.
Elementary & Junior High Parents: please see the Google form that was shared via classroom reps around May 5 for the details of this event, and to let us know your plans that day. Students will be dismissed directly from The Academy Circus unless they are already registered for After-School Extended Hours that day.
ONLINE AUCTION – Help find our Minion a home!

Our Upper Elementary students have transformed a classic cedar Muskoka chair into a fun and vibrant Minion masterpiece, working together to design and paint every detail. Elementary lost & found June 2 & 3
On Tuesday, June 2, and Wednesday, June 3, Rob will put out the Elementary lost and found on the front porch of the Main Office. Pop by at dismissal and claim your items. Any items left over will be donated to charity.
MA in the Community
London’s Baby Expo is this Saturday; MA will be there!
Montessori Academy will have a booth at the upcoming Womb to Walking Baby Expo – Saturday, May 23, at the Western Fair Districts J-AAR Expo Centre (formerly Agriplex).

What an MA-zing exhibition of artwork! Congratulations to Shawna and the Art Expo committee for putting together a truly stunning display of our community’s creativity.
Montessori Canada conference
We had a large group of our MA-zing teachers attend this year’s Montessori Canada May Conference on Friday. Junior High’s Shawn Butler presented a powerful session called “Beyond Algorithms and Group Chats – Saving the Human Heart of Montessori Adolescence.”
