Educational Assistant & Student Guide (Part-Time) for Elementary Student – Sept 2026
One of Montessori Academy’s families seeks a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Educational Assistant & Student Guide to support their child beginning September 2026.
This role involves providing one-on-one academic and classroom support to a student with special needs, helping them engage meaningfully in the classroom environment while fostering independence, confidence, and a positive learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized academic support tailored to the student’s needs
- Guide and support the student throughout the classroom day
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure consistency and continuity
- Create or modify materials that support learning and development
- Encourage social integration and positive peer interactions
Qualifications:
- Background in education, child development, or a related field
- Previous experience working with individuals with special needs
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a classroom team
Position Details:
- Part-time: approximately 16-20 hours per week, depending on the student’s schedule
- Start date: September 2026
- Rate of pay: $20-$22/hr
- Required: Current, valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check
