The Elementary Library’s new chapter

We are so grateful to you for helping us complete the Library and Elementary renovations! This incredible undertaking was a $750,000 project! Thanks to you, we raised over $100,000 in donations over the last two years towards this project. We are pleased to announce that the renovations are complete – the NEW Library and Elementary building are being enjoyed by our students!
These incredible additions and improvements are only possible because of your support. Thank you!
For those who haven’t had a chance to walk through the new Library hallway, take a peek at this video of the new library space. Thank you, Rob, our Librarian, and Year 6 students Juliet and Brynne for this tour of our beautiful, new learning environment: https://vimeo.com/935059902.

Your peek inside: stay tuned…

There are still some final touches to make to the Library, but we’re working on plans to invite families to see the space in person. Stay tuned to the Buzz for more details.

We appreciate our volunteers!

Thank you, parents, guardians and friends of the school. Each volunteer contribution means so much, whether you are on a committee, driving our sports teams, or helping out on a field trip – we could not do it without each and every one of you. Thank you!

MA families in the news

Congratulations to MA parent George Athwal for being named in the MacLean’s Magazine Power List 2024: Health Care. MA alumna Maggie Mac Neil is also named in The Power List: Sports. https://macleans.ca/society/the-power-list-2024

Photos from the week

Toddler practical life skills

Practical life activities are a fundamental part of a Montessori program. Last week our youngest students prepared a snack for themselves.

Waterloo Casa activities

The beautiful weather last week meant Waterloo Casa’s children were outside exploring, enjoying the sunshine … and looking for potato bugs! Waterloo Casa also thanks our families for stopping by to see our classroom last week.

Casa 3: We “heart” sunshine!

More of this, please, Mother Nature!

Lower El Heritage Potluck

There was a true world of flavours happening at the Lower Elementary Heritage Potluck. What a beautiful (and delicious) tradition. Thank you to all the families who shared a taste of their cultures with everyone.

London Artists’ Studio Tour

On April 19, 20, and 21, the Annual London Artists’ Studio Tour takes place. This free, family-friendly event offers the public a unique opportunity where local artists open up their studios to the general public. You can meet local artists, see their work and environments and gain insights into their creative processes. This year there are 31 artists participating, with four in the Old North neighbourhood near Montessori, but there are stops all over the city.
For more more information on the tour, a map and bios and examples of work from each participating artist, visit https://londonstudiotour.ca

Rummage Sale at Colborne St United Church

In support of UCW, donations for the upcoming Rummage Sale will be accepted from April 1-21. We’re looking for books, collectibles, kitchenware, shoes, spring/summer clothing, household items, and jewelry.
