Help us renovate 718 Waterloo’s Kitchen!
This year we are focusing our fundraising on upgrading the aging kitchen at 718 Waterloo St. to better serve our youngest students.
Over the years, we’ve modernized kitchens across our locations to create improved learning and dining spaces, thanks to the generosity of our donors. Watch for a letter coming this Friday… or view the PDF online or donate online towards this special project today. Donations made before December 31 count toward 2024 taxes, and monthly giving options can be spread over the year! Any donation, no matter the size, will bring us closer to our goal.
Thank you for considering a gift as part of your year-end giving plans! Donations are eligible for a charitable tax receipt. Charitable Registration # 1052 29124 RR0001
For more information or questions regarding donations please contact Tonya at tdendrinos@montessori.on.ca

MA Parent App tip
Time-sensitive messages: Notices
We shared our weather-related School Closure / Delayed Start policies two weeks ago in the Buzz. These alerts will be shared as a Notice via the MA Parent app with a push notification, and followed with a social media post and red-banner update on our school website’s home page. Enable push notifications from the MA Parent App, but also be sure to check the app Notices; this is where the alerts will be found by 7:30 a.m. If there is no school closure notice in the app by 7:30 am, it is safe to assume that school is open.
Please note: we only send alerts when the school is closed or there is a delayed start. Find these policies in the Parent Handbook or the Nov. 12, 2024 Buzz.
Photos from the week
PJ Day
Our first PJ Day in support of ChildCan was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who donated loose change and sported their comfy jammies! We’ll share a grand total when the MA-zing Charitable Giving Committee in Junior High finishes adding it all up.
Westmount Casa parent social
Our Westmount Casa families had a great time travelling to Venice for Carnival. After the children put on a beautiful scarf dance to ‘The Four Seasons’ by Antonio Vivaldi, they spent the rest of the afternoon making masks! We thank everyone for taking time out of your busy schedules to join us. It is always amazing to see how much support we have from our families. Ciao!
Casa Gym class with JH friends!
Casa 1 had a fun time learning about volleyball with Dave and the incredible Junior High helpers. These Year 8 students were incredible teachers, gentle and helpful to our young Casa children.
Casa 1 Hungary lesson!
On Friday, Casa 1 studied the beautiful country of Hungary! One of our third-year students was so excited to contribute to our lesson and teach us all about her heritage. She even made everyone their very own Hungarian flag to take home!
Casa 3 Colombia lesson
What would a lesson on Colombia be without a little Shakira?! Take a peek at the Instagram video of some serious dancing: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DCpTCqDpPG_/
